Terms and conditions
1. In these conditions:
‘The Company’ means Castle Furniture
‘goods and equipment’ means the goods and/or equipment to which this document relates.
‘purchaser’ means the customer purchasing the said goods and equipment.
These Conditions contain the entire bargain between the Company and the Purchaser and in the case of any inconsistency these conditions shall prevail. These Conditions shall apply except as may be expressly agreed by the Company in writing. Any concession or waiver made by the Company at any time shall not prejudice the exercise of its rights hereunder. Nothing contained in these Conditions shall impart any obligation on the part of the Company to sell other goods and equipment to the Purchaser.
2. Passing of Risk and Title:
(a) The risk of all goods and equipment shall pass to the Purchaser upon collection or delivery of the same in accordance with the terms hereof to the Purchaser or its agents or other person to whom the Purchaser has authorised delivery of the same and the Company shall have no responsibility in respect of the said goods and equipment thereafter and accordingly the Purchaser should insure the same thereafter against such risks as it considers appropriate.
All goods and equipment supplied are subject to the Company’s prices ruling at the date of despatch to the Purchaser, unless otherwise agreed in writing by the parties at the date of Order/Acceptance. Where applicable Value Added Tax will be applied in accordance with Republic of Ireland legislation in force at the tax point date.
Unless otherwise specifically agreed in writing by the parties all prices excludes carriage insurance and packing charges will be charged to the Purchaser.
4. Jurisdiction and Arbitration:
These Conditions shall be interpreted exclusively and according to the law of the Republic of Ireland and the Purchaser hereby accepts the jurisdiction of such Courts as the Company may nominate for the purpose or any action arising out of this Contract.
5. Cancellation and Returns:
On cancelling your order for any reason, you must return the goods to us at your cost unless the goods are being returned because they are faulty or incorrect. If this is the case we will meet the cost of return, which will be organised by ourselves.
6. Shipping & Returns
Delivery Times And Rates
castlefurniture.ie operates a weekday delivery service throughout Ireland for any order.
Standard delivery is Monday to Friday 9:00am to 5.30pm.
We endeavour to deliver most stock items within 10 working days. Delivery of products that are not in stock usually takes three to four weeks. You will be informed within 48hrs of placing your order if there is any delay in your delivery.
Evening & Weekend Delivery
To request a weekend or evening delivery please contact us at 01 2813616. An extra charge may be applied for weekend or evening deliveries.
7. Delivery Guidelines
Please ensure that the product you choose will fit the area in which you intend to put it. We will not be responsible for deliveries that cannot fit.
Please ensure that we will have adequate access to your home so that a large delivery truck can drop off your delivery.
Assembly can be provided on items that require it for a fee (cost depending on the complexity of the item). This can be requested when ordering items if required.
Safe disposal and removal of your old bed or mattress can be facilitated for a small fee.
Delivery is generally carried out by 2 experienced delivery drivers.
What happens if I am unsure or want to return a purchase I make from castlefurniture.ie?
If you are unsure about a purchase, you must state this to one of our delivery personnel on delivery of the product/s, so that the original packaging of the product will not be removed. You have 7 days from delivery date to notify castlefurniture.ie if you want to return your product, however there will be a charge of €60 + VAT which will be deducted from your refund. castlefurniture.ie will not accept the products back if they are NOT sealed in their original packaging. This does not apply to faulty items or those items which may not be as described but if the goods are found to be faulty on delivery, the items should be returned with the driver and reported to castlefurniture.ie while the driver is still present.
